17 members of illegal gas supply racket held

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) held 17 members of an illegal gas supply racket who were selling gas from CNG filling station by mobile covered van.

RAB-11 held them from Debipur area of Feni sadar on Sunday (September 19).

Law enforcers seized Tk 1,83,400 cash and 602 cylinders with five covered vans.

RAB-11 CPC-2 Cumilla Company Captain Major Mohammad Sakib Hossain confirmed the matter in a press release on Sunday (September 19) afternoon.

The detainees include Abu Taher of Uttar Sharshadi Khanerbari under Feni sadar, Saidur Rahman of Pashchim Sobu village of Chhagalnaiya, Saidul Islam Rony of Adhar Manik village, Gopi of Lakshmipur village, Shibu and Jadab Kumar Das of Hari village and Hamim of Shiksha village of Ramgati in Lakshmipur.
