School closed after 3 teachers test positive for Covid-19

Authorities have closed the Chiravija Golna Dimukhi High School in Joldhaka upazila of Nilphamari after three teachers tested positive for Covid-19.

The coronavirus test results of the three teachers were confirmed on Thursday (September 23). The teachers are – Sushanto Kumar Roy, Ramijul Islam and Abdul Jalil.

Al Hasan Jayed, headmaster of the school said, a teacher went through a COVID test as a precautionary measure after he developed symptoms. Later, two more teachers tested positive for the virus.

Upazila Secondary Education Officer Chanchal Kumar Bhowmik said, as a precautionary measure, the school was closed for two days. It will reopen on Monday.
