E-orange owner among 7 sued in Ctg

A case has been filed against owner of ecommerce platform ‘e-orange’ and six others over allegedly embezzling nearly Tk 1.33 crore in a Chattogram court.

A victim Iqbal Hossain, 29, on behalf of 22 victims, filed the case with the Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Sunday (October 17).

The court took the case incognizance and asked the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to submit a report after investigation.

The accused are Sonia Mehzabin, her husband Masukur Rahman, former police official Sheikh Sohel Rana, e-orange officials Amanullah, Bithi Akter, Jayedul Firoz and Nazmul Hassan Rasel.

Plaintiff’s lawyer Nazmus Sakib confirmed about the case.
