Jashore Education Board scam: ACC files case against 5

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against five officials of Jashore Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board including its chairman and secretary for embezzlement of Tk 2.5 crore through cheque scandal.

Mahfuz Iqbal, assistant director of ACC district office in Jessore, filed the case with the Senior Special Judge’s Court on Monday (October 18).

The accused are Jessore Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Chairman Prof Mollah Amir Hossain, Secretary Prof AMH Ali R Reza, Accounts Assistant Abdus Salam, owner of fraudulent Venus Printing and Packaging, Rajarhat area resident Abdul Majid Ali’s son Shariful Islam Babu and Ashraful Alam, son of late Siddique Ali Biswas, owner of Shahilal Store.
