Tourists stranded on St Martin`s returning to Teknaf

Some 300 tourists, who got stranded on St Martin's Island in the Bay of Bengal due to inclement weather, are returning to Teknaf.

The tourists with 14 trawlers started journey from St Martin's Island on Tuesday morning.  A trawler with 40 tourists has already reached Kayukkhali ghat.

The authorities concerned suspended the movement of passenger vessels between Teknaf and St Martin's Island from Sunday afternoon.
