‘Five-member squad takes only two minutes to kill Mohibullah’

The killing mission of top Rohingya leader Mohibullah, chairman of the Arakan Rohingya Society for Peace and Human Rights (ARSPH), was completed by miscreants in just two minutes, according to police.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Naimul Haque, captain of Armed Police Battalion (APBn) 14, said this in a press briefing at Ukhia in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday (October 23).

He said, “A five-member killing squad took only two minutes to assassinate Mohibullah and left the scene. Police came to know that some 19 people were involved in the murder and It was a pre-planned killing.”

Quoting arrested Azizul’s confession, SP Naimul Haque said, “The killers called Mohibullah out of home in the night for talks over Rohingya repatriation. They held a meeting on the Markaz Mountain over killing mission two days before the incident. Arrested Murshid called Mohibullah to his office from his home. Then he signaled the rest to kill Mohibullah.”

He said, “Mohibullah was shot four bullets and the five killers left the scene through the back of Mohibullah’s house.”

Mentionable, Mohibullah was shot and killed by gunmen at his office in Kutupalong camp in Cox’s Bazar on September 29, 2021.
