Cumilla ward councillor murder: 4 accused arrested

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an accused in a case filed over the murders of Cumilla City Corporation ward-17 Councillor Syed Mohammad Sohel and Awami League activist Haripad Saha.
The arrestee is known as Sumon, 32, the number four accused in the case.
Sumon was arrested from Cumilla Medical College Hospital area around 11 am on Wednesday (November 24).

Earlier, Syed Md Rumon, younger brother of slain ward councillor Syed Mohammad Sohel who was murdered last Monday, filed the case against 11 named and 12 unnamed persons.
The other accused are: Shah Alam, Sohel Mia alias Jail Sohel, Sabbir Hossain and Rocky.
Syed Mohammad Sohel and one of his aides Haripad Saha were shot dead at the councillor’s office in the city on Monday (November22).
