Two pirates killed in Bhola ‘gunfight’ with RAB

Two pirates were killed in a ‘gunfight’ with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Bhola district.

The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday (December 5). 

However, the identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) ANM Imran Khan, Senior Assistant Director, Legal and Media Wing, RAB Headquarters, confirmed the matter.

Imran Khan said a team of the elite force carried out a raid near Jalia Khal in ward no. 1 of Char Kukri Mukri union under South Aicha Police Station in Bhola district.

Sensing the presence of RAB members, the pirates fired open targeting the team. Later, RAB retaliated in self-defense, killing two pirates, he said.
