Ivy clinches hat-trick victory in NCC mayoral race

Ruling Awami League candidate Selina Hayat Ivy made a history, clinching the mayoral post of Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) for the third time in a free and fair vote battle amid festive mode on Sunday (January 16).

She beat her opponent Advocate Taimur Alam Khandaker by a big margin.
 
According to unofficial information, Ivy obtained 1,61,273 votes while her nearest opponent Taimur Alam Khandaker got 92,171 votes in 192 centers, thus Ivy triumphed over her opponent by 69,102 votes.
