Student killed in Dinajpur road crash

A tenth-grader was killed on his way to the Covid-19 vaccination center as a truck loaded with sand hit the easy-bike he was riding in Nawabganj upazila of Dinajpur district on Monday (January 17) morning.
The incident took place around 11 am at Akhira on Bhaduria Daudpur Road of the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Humayun Ahmmed, son of Shariful Islam from Shibrampur village under Bhaduria union of the upazila. He was a student of the 10th grade at Helencha High School in Nawabganj.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Nawabganj Police Station Ferdous Wahid confirmed the incident.
The OC said that Humayun was heading to Nawabganj from his village on an easy-bike this morning. He was going to the Covid-19 vaccination center to get vaccinated. When the vehicle reached Akhira, a truck loaded with sand hit it, leaving him dead on the spot.
