48 test Covid-19 positive in Dinajpur

48 more people tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) in the past 24 hours in Dinajpur but no deaths were reported over this period.

Dinajpur Civil Surgeon Mohammad Abdul Quddus confirmed the matter on Wednesday (January 19).

Sample tests of 193 people were collected from across the district. Of them, 136 were tested where 48 people came out positive for the virus.

The rate of the Covid-19 cases against the sample tests is 34.56%, said the surgeon.

A total of 15,055 Covid-19 cases have been detected so far in the district.

Besides, the total number of recovered patients is 14,616 in the district with only one recovery in the past 24 hours. Currently, there are 148 Covid-19 patients, added the surgeon.

According to Civil Surgeon Office, 41 people contracted Covid-19 in Dinajpur sadar upazila, 2 each in Birol, Birganj and Phulbari upazilas, and one in Parbatipur upazila in the past 24 hours.
