The lowest temperature of the country was recorded at 9.7 degree Celsius in Dinajpur on Wednesday (January 19) morning.
Cold wave and dense fog are disrupting the lives of low-income people of the district. Many of them are spending time with no work. They are making fires to warm themselves.
Tofazzal Hossain, official of the Met Office, confirmed the matter today.
The lowest temperature was recorded at 9.7 degree Celsius at 6 am, humidity was 96 percent, and wind velocity was 4-5km/hr, said the Met Officer.
Meanwhile, the temperature in Rangpur was recorded at 12.3 degree Celsius, 11.2 degree Celsius in Saidpur, 12.0 degree Celsius in Rajarhat, 11.8 degree Celsius in Dimla, 10.2 degree Celsius in Badalgachhi, 12.4 degree Celsius in Jashore, 10.7 degree Celsius in Chuadanga, 11.0 degree Celsius in Rajshahi, 13.4 degree Celsius in Srimangal, 10.7 degree Celsius in Bogura and 10.2 degree Celsius in Tetulia.
