Four killed in Naogaon motorcycle accident

Four people were killed when a truck hit their bike in Dhamoirhat upazila of Naogaon district.

The deceased were identified as Abu Sufian, 18, son of Goljar Hossain; Abdus Salam, 30, son of Mozammel Haque; Sajol Hossain, 35, son of Helal Uddin and Minhaj Hossain, 28, son of Juel Hossain.

The incident took place in Haritokidanga area of the upazila around 8:30pm on Sunday (January 23).

Sub Inspector (SI) Sahajan Ali, duty officer of Dhamoirhat Police Station, said two people were killed on the spot and two others injured when a truck hit their motorcycle in Haritokidanga area of the upazila.

The injured were initially admitted to Upazila Health Complex but they were later referred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for better treatment when their condition deteriorated.

They succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital around 12:30 am today, the SI said.
