Remains of burned body found in Faridpiur
Police have recovered remains of a burned body from a field of Bilnalia village under sadar upazila of Faridpur. However, the body could not be identified immediately.
The remains were found at Gazirchak of Bilnalia village on Tuesday (January 25) morning.
Locals believe, the remains were dumped and set fire at Bilnalia after killing at somewhere else.
Kazi Tareque, assistant teacher of Pashchim Bilnalia Government Primary School, said, “The remains were noticed by a group of farmers in the field when they went there for work.”
Shankar Kumar, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Faridpur Kotwali Police Station, said, “Being informed, the human remains were recovered from the spot. It might be body of a girl aged 12 to 14. Details would be known after investigation.”
Faridpur Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) M A Jalil said, “Teams of Kotwali Police Station, CID Crime Scene and PBI visited the spot. CID and PBI teams also collected evidences. The body was sent to morgue.”
