Four more die at MMCH Covid unit

Four more people died from coronavirus and coronavirus-like symptoms at the Covid-19 unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) in the past 24 hours.

Among the deceased, one died of coronavirus infection while the remaining three died of coronavirus-like symptoms.

Besides, 261 more people tested positive for the virus over the same period.

Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, focal person of the Covid unit, confirmed the news on Thursday (January 27).
Meanwhile, a total of 82 patients including 6 at the ICU unit are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. Of them, 51 tested positive for the virus.

Apart from that, 28 people were newly admitted to the Covid-19 unit in the past 24 hours. Among them, 19 recovered.

Mymensingh district Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Nazrul Islam said, 261 people came out positive for the virus among the sample tests of 868 people in the past 24 hours.
