Narayanganj Textile factory fire under control after 6 hrs

A fire that broke out in a textile factory at Madanpur in Narayanganj, has been brought under control after six hours.

Thirteen units of Fire Service were able to douse the blaze around 10:00 pm on Friday (January 28).

Brig Gen Md Sazzad Hossain, Director General (DG) of Fire Service, confirmed about the matter.

Fire Service DG Brig Gen Md Sazzad Hossain said, “Thirteen units of Fire Service managed to douse the blaze around 10:00 pm.”

Earlier, the fire ensued around 4:00 pm. However, the reason behind the fire could not be known immediately while no casualties have yet been reported till the report was filed.

Several workers of the factory said, there were no workers in the factory as it was a weekend.
