IMT students announce exam boycott

Students of the Institute Of Marine Technology (IMT) of Chandpur have announced the boycott of their midterm examination in protest against the attack on them by outsiders.

The announcement was made on Sunday (February 27).

According to the protesters, some outsiders attacked the students of IMT at the campus on Friday (February 25) and Saturday (February 26), which left eight to ten students and a staff member of the institute injured. In protest, students decided to boycott their midterm examination.

Chandpur Model Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Abdur Rashid said that police officials have already been deployed at the campus and necessary steps will be taken in this regard after discussing the matter with the principal of the institute, said Engineer Dr. Shakhawat Ullah.

Police attempted to contact the principal several times but have yet to receive a response.
