Hili checkpost on high alert over monkeypox

Hili checkpost in Dinajpur has been kept on high alert as viral disease monkeypox is on the rise in several countries across the world. A medical team is monitoring the passport holders of the two countries at the checkpost.

Hakimpur upazila health and family planning officer Dr. Shyamal Kumar Das confirmed the matter on Monday (May 23) afternoon.
Dr. Shyamal Kumar told risingbd that the team is working all the time to identify any suspected people with symptom of the virus. If someone is found with the symptoms, he or she would be taken to hospital or kept in isolation.

Hili Immigration Cheickpost OC Badiuzzaman told risingbd that all precautions have been taken at immigration to avoid monkeypox. In addition to the medical team, all the activities of the passengers in immigration are being done while maintaining social distance.
