Woman knocked down by car in Padma Bridge

A 60-year-old woman has been killed after a private car hit her near Padma Bridge toll plaza at Mawa in Munshiganj.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Police and Sreenagar Fire service sources said, the victim was crossing the expressway around 12:30pm today (June 30). Meanwhile, a car rammed her in the area and fled the scene.

Confirming the matter, Padma Bridge police station (north) Officer-in-Charge Md. Alamgir Hossain said, the body was sent to hospital for autopsy.
