Both lanes of Nalka bridge opened

The both lanes of newly constructed Nalka bridge in Sirajganj have been opened ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest festival of Muslims.

With this, people of 22 districts of the northern and southern part of the country will enjoy a hassle free Eid journey. 

The bridge was opened on Monday (July 4) noon. Deputy project manager of Bridge authorities Abu Sayeed, Mir Akhter Ltd’s project manager Ekhlas Uddin, Hatikumrul Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Lutfor Rahman, among others, were present during the opening ceremony.

Ekhlas Uddin, Project Manager of Mir Akther Ltd, said, “Both lanes of the bridge have been opened for Eid journey. But some works are still incomplete which is expected to be done by March next year. Then, the bridge will be inaugurated officially.”
