Bomb-like object at teacher’s house in Sirajganj, creating panic

A bomb-like object has been found at the house of a college teacher Abdul Gafur of Enayetpur in Sirajganj, creating panic in the area. Being informed, police rushed to the spot and evacuated dwellers of the house and cordoned off it.

The bomb-like was found at house of Abdul Gafur at Goprekhi Dakshinpara of the district’s Chouhali upazila on Sunday (July 3) night.

Enayetpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Anisur Rahman confirmed the matter on Monday (July 4) evening.

He said, “Bomb disposal unit has been requested to rush to the spot to check whether the object wrapped in scotch tape is bomb or not.”

However, the bomb disposal unit had not reached the spot while the report was filed, he said.
