Gang-rape, robbery on bus: Police’s press briefing at noon

Tangail Police will hold a press briefing at 12.00pm today (Friday) at the office of police super to inform about the update in the case of gang-rape and robbery on a moving bus in Tangail.

Police have identified all the suspected criminals of gang-rape and robbery case and arrested a key member named Raja Mia.

Police said the court has granted a five-day remand of the alleged member.

It is known that Raja took the wheels after blindfolding and tying up the driver and others of the Eagle Paribahan bus which was heading towards Narayanganj from Kushtia on Tuesday night.

The bus was carrying around 24/25 passengers.  A group of robbers boarded the bus when it made a stopover at a hotel in Sirajganj. The robbers raped a female passenger after looting the bus.
