Robbery, gang-rape on moving bus: 6 accused remanded

A court in Tangail on Tuesday afternoon placed the six accused in the case filed over the robbery and gang-rape on a moving bus in the district on a three-day remand each.
Tangail Senior Judicial Magistrate Court Judge Farzana Hasnath passed the order after police had produced them before the court, seeking a seven-day remand.
The accused are- Ratan, Mannan, Jibon, Dip, Babu and Shohag.
According to the case statement, a bus of Eagle Paribahan with 30-35 passengers was going to Dhaka from Kushtia. A group of robbers boarded the bus when it made a stopover at a hotel in Sirajganj.
Later, they gang-raped a female passenger after looting mobiles, cash money, and ornaments from other passengers of the bus in Madhupur upazila of Tangail on Tuesday night.
