Court orders to conduct probe against OC among six in Feni

A Feni court on Wednesday (August 10) ordered Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to conduct a probe against Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Feni Sadar Model Police Station and five others for allegedly framing an arms case against the district Juba Dal President Zakir Hossain Jasim.

Judicial Magistrate Ashequr Rahman came up with the order and asked PBI to submit report within next 30 days after hearing the case filed by Zakir’s wife Lutfun Nahar.

The accused cops are known as OC Nizam Uddin, SI Imran Hossain, SI Narayan Chandra Das and DSB official Habibur Rahman. Alongside, two witnesses Saikat and Sabbir.

Mentionable, Zakir Hossain Jasim was arrested by Feni Police Station with help of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) from Paltan in the capital on July 22.

Later, police filed an arms case claiming seizure of a pistol, a magazine, four rounds of bullets and two knives from his possession.
