Filling station fined Tk one lakh

A team of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) has fined a filling station for giving less oil in weight.

The DNCRP team conducted a raid at Mominbagh Service Station in new bus terminal area of Sherpur town and fined Tk one lakh for irregularities.

Deputy Director of DNCRP’s Sherpur office Md Rubel Mahmud said a team conducted a raid at the filling station after customers raised an allegation that the filling station gives less oil in weight. The allegation was proved, and the filling station was fined.  

Such kind of drives will continue to protect rights of customers, he also said.
