Tea workers go on indefinite strike

Tea workers went on an indefinite strike from Saturday morning, demanding an increase in their daily wages.
Workers said they will continue their strike until their demand is met. As a result, garden authorities are facing a trouble.
According to sources, a worker gets Tk 120 everyday but now they demand Tk 300.
There are 41 tea gardens in the nine upazilas of Habiganj district. About 1,50,000 people live in the gardens, of which 32,000 are workers.
