60 injured in BCL infighting Barguna

At least 60 people were injured in a clash between two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) over establishing supremacy in Barguna during National mourning day.
The incident took place around 12:00pm on Monday (August 15).
Barguna Additional police super SM Tarek Rahman said, police charged baton to bring the situation under control. Meanwhile, two people were detained along with huge number of locally made lethal weapon from the spot.
Imran Hossain, Barguna BCL general secretary said, couple of groups led by formers BCL leaders attacked BCL leaders when they were returning from Bangabandhu Memorial Complex, leaving 60 leaders and activists injured.
It is known that Barguna district BCL organized a conference on July 17. Later, new BCL committee was announced on July 24. But, the former BCL leaders expressed agitation rejecting the new 33-member committee.
