2 killed in Tangail on way back from wedding ceremony

Two people, who were returning from a wedding ceremony, were killed after a speedy CNG-run auto-rickshaw hit a truck stationed at Brahmonshason area in Ghatail upazila of Tangail.

Three people were also injured in this connection.

The incident took place on Tangail-Mymensingh highway in Brahmonshason area of the upazila early Tuesday (August 16).

The deceased were identified as Shahjahan and Nepal Chandra Saha.

Sub-inspector of Ghatail police station Monirul Islam said Shahjahan and Nepal were killed and three others were injured when a speedy CNG-run auto-rickshaw leaving Andipur of Ghatail upazila for Tangail Sadar hit a truck stationed at Brahmonshason area in Ghatail upazila early today.

The injured were admitted to Tangail General Hospital, the police official said.
