Couple arrested with Yaba worth Tk 2.5 crore

Detective Branch (DB) of Police in Chattogram held a couple with 80,000 pieces of Yaba worth nearly Tk 2.5 crore and Tk 2.60 lakh cash in a special drive at Chandgaon residential area of the port city.

Ali Hossain, deputy commissioner (DC) of DB, said this in press briefing at the headquarters at Mansurabad on Tuesday (August 16) afternoon.

He said the couple are professional Yaba smugglers.  They have been smuggling Yaba to the different places across the country for long days.

A case was filed with Chandgaon Police Station in this regard, he added.
