Juba Dal man killed in Narayanganj police-BNP clash

A Juba Dal man named Shaon was killed and several others were injured in a clash between police and BNP activists in Narayanganj on Thursday morning.

Duty officer of Narayanganj Sadar Hospital Nazmul Hossain confirmed the news.

Narayanganj Police Super Golam Mostafa Rasel said, “We did not hear the news of death. But 15 policemen were injured during the clash”.

The clash began around 10:30am near Rail Gate No: 2 when police obstructed a procession brought by BNP marking its 44 founding anniversary.

A chase-counter chase took place.  At the time, police fired tear shells and rubber bullets in response to the brickbats hurled at them by the activists.
