50 injured in Munshiganj BNP-Police clash

At least 50 people were injured during a clash at a BNP protest rally in Munshiganj’s Muktarpur on Wednesday (September 21).

Witnesses said the incident took place in the area when the district unit of BNP organized a protest march in the district. The clash erupted when police attempted to intervene the protest program.

Meanwhile, BNP leaders and activists started to hurl brick chips aiming policemen and torched some motorcycles. At stage, police fired rubber bullets to bring the situation under control.

Munshiganj Additional police super Suman Deb (crime and admin) confirmed the matter.
