Probe committee formed over Panchagarh boat capsize

A five-member probe committee has been formed to investigate the trawler capsize in Karatoya River in Panchagarh.
An information center also has been opened at Mareya Bamanhat union Parishad Bhaban, adjacent to accident site.
Earlier, on Sunday (September 25), at least 24 people including women and children, were killed after a boat capsized in Panchagarh district Boda Upazila.
The incident happened at 3:00pm today.
Jakir Hossain, an official of the information center said, the number of missing people has increased to 40.
Panchagarh Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Jahirul Islam said, the district administration has made the probe committee headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Joyasree Rani Roy.
