Truck claims life of Khulna college teacher

A teacher of a college was killed when a truck ran him over on Alaipur Bridge Bypass Road in Rupsha upazila on Sunday (October 2).

The deceased was known as Rafiqul Islam, 45, principal of Chandpur College, son of late Oli Ahmed.

Police said, the victim was heading towards upazila sadar around 12:00pm riding his motorcycle. Meanwhile, brick-laden a truck hit him in the area, leaving him dead on the spot.

Rupsha police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sardar Mosharraf Hossain confirmed the matter.
