BGB seizes 9 gold bars from rickshaw van in Jashore

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel seized nine gold bars weighing 1 kg from an auto rickshaw at Amrakhali area in Benapole of Jashore on Saturday night (November 26).

Jashore 49 BGB Battalion Captain Lt Col Shahed Minhaj Siddiqui said, a BGB team led by Nayek Subedar Md Abul Kalam Hossain conducted a drive in the area around 9:30 pm. Meanwhile, nine gold bars were recovered from a three-wheeler van. However, the van puller left his van and fled.

The three-wheeler van owner was Milon alias Choto Babu.

The estimated market price of the seized gold is around Tk93.50 lakh.
