3 including 2 RAB members killed in Magura road crash

At least three people including two RAB members were killed in a road accident in Magura early Friday.

The deceased are RAB members Anisur Rahman and Mohidul and pickup-van driver Mofidul.

Magura Highway Officer-in-Charge (OC) Liakat Ali confirmed the news.

According to sources, a patrol team of RAB members chased a suspected pickup-van that was carrying drugs. At one stage, the two vehicles plunged into a roadside ditch around 5.15am on Magura-Jhenaidah highway.

Later, a team of Highway Police rescued the victims and seized drugs from the pickup –van.

Seriously injured RAB member Nazmul, 35, has been taken to Dhaka by helicopter.
