Woman dies as her scarf entangles with wheels

A woman was killed as her scarf got entangled with a wheel of an auto-rickshaw at Harinagar area under Nabiganj upazila in Habiganj district on Saturday (January 28).

The deceased was known as Saleha Akter, 65, wife of Md Ismail Mia, a resident of Gumgumia village in the upazila.

Confirming the matter, Nabiganj Police Station officer-in-charge Md Dalim Ahmed said Saleha Akter fell down from the auto-rickshaw as her scarf got entangled with its wheel, leaving her critically injured.

Later, she was taken to Nabiganj Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.
