BCC Polls: CCTV cameras being installed

Election Commission (EC) has taken all-out preparations to hold the polls in Barishal city in a free, fair and transparent manner.

The Election Commission wants to monitor the elections directly to be held on June 12. 

They are now installing around 1146 CCTV cameras in all the 126 centres, and the work will be completed on Saturday.

There are a total of 2,76,298 voters in Barishal City Corporation. Of them, 1,37,489 are male and 1,38,809 are female.

In Barishal City Corporation, seven candidates are contesting for the mayoral post, 118 for councillor  and 42 for women reserved councilor posts.
