MPO enlisted teachers to get salary from this August

Teachers and employees of private schools, colleges and madrasas enlisted for Monthly Pay Order (MPO) will get salaries on time from August. The MPO cheques for the month of August has already been released.
The sources of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education and the Directorate for Madrasa Education revealed the information on Tuesday.
Eight cheques of the government share of teachers and employees’ salaries have been sent to Agrani, Rupali, Janata and Sonali Bank. The last day for raising salaries and allowances on September 8.
Heads of MPO-registered private educational institutions have been asked to download the MPO sheets of their respective institutions from the website emis.gov.bd.
Earlier, MPO registered teachers used to get monthly salary between 13th to 15th every month. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education said it will not be so late from this month.
It was learnt that MPO teachers were paid about 15 days later than government school-college teachers. Later, the Ministry of Education decided to change the situation on the basis of various allegations.
Mominur Rashid Amin, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Education and Chief Coordinator, Recognition Committee, said it is an advantage for us if salaries of MPOs are paid on time like government school-college teachers. MPO registered teachers also get benefits. This process will continue.
