‘School will not open now, govt thinking over auto pass’

Primary and Mass Education Senior Secretary Akram-Al-Hossain said If safety for students is not ensured, it is not possible to open school right now.

He said, “The syllabus has been shortened to evaluate the students from Class-1 to Class-V in government primary schools on an examination basis. The syllabus has been shortened centering October and November. When schools open, class of students from Class-1 to Class-V will be evaluated from that time. If it is not possible to open school, there will be no way without auto pass.”

The Secretary came up with the statement in a press briefing at the Secretariat on Sunday (September 6). Zakir Hossan, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education, was present there.
