No link between our textbooks and reality: Education Minister

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has put emphasis on making the education system realistic. She said, “The textbooks have nothing to do with our reality. That’s why even if you get a big degree, it does not work in reality.”
 
The Minister said this while speaking at the ‘Best Reporting Award and Debut’ event organised by the Education Reporters Association of Bangladesh (ERAB) at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital on Wednesday (October 14).

She said, “Once the challenge was to bring everyone under education, now that has been successful. Currently, the emphasis is being given on quality education. Our children will be taught humanity and patriotism through quality education. For this, big changes are being made in the textbooks of the students.”
