DU admission test in divisional cities, changes in marks distribution

The authorities of Dhaka University (DU) have decided to hold admission tests in the divisional cities due to the situation triggered by coronavirus pandemic.

The university authorities also brought changes in the distribution of marks for the admission tests of 2020-2021 academic session.

The decisions came at the meeting of admission committee of Dhaka University on Monday (Nov 23).

This year, a decision has been made to hold admission tests in divisional cities of the country due to coronavirus pandemic. Test marks have already been reduced to 100 from 200. Out of 100 marks, 20 will be taken from results of SSC and HSC, and the remaining 80 (40 marks in MCQ, 40 marks in written) will be based on the admission test, according to a press release issued by DU admission committee.

Deans of the concerned faculties will fix the time and subjective questions, it added.

Although there was an issue of reducing the number of seats in the meeting, there was no detailed discussion about it, a source familiar with it said.
