No division in also higher secondary

The government is going to bring major changes in the education system of the country.

According to the new curriculum from 2022, there will be no division in the name of science, arts and commerce at the higher secondary level like the secondary level.

Under the new rule, students will study in class XI-XII without any division. The proposal has been included in the national curriculum framework of National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), sources said.

If this is implemented, the subject of choice for admission to higher education will be open to the aspirants.

Earlier on November 25, the government removed the division in the name of science, arts and commerce at the secondary level. All students must have compulsory science, commerce and humanities education up to at least SSC.

According to the new rule, there are five steps in education. These are pre-primary, primary, secondary, higher secondary and higher education.

In addition, according to the proposed curriculum, secondary students will study all types of subjects up to the tenth grade. This level of curriculum will not have science, business education and humanities departments.
