HSC results likely to be released this week

The results of HSC and equivalent examinations may be released this week.  The ordinance is likely to be issued on January 5 or 6. The results will then be officially released.

Sources of the Education Ministry said on Friday, in order to publish the results in special circumstances, the President has to issue an ordinance. The issue of issuing the ordinance will be raised in the cabinet meeting next Monday (January 4). From there the documents will be sent to the President. The President will issue the ordinance on January 5 or 6. Then there will be no obstacle in releasing the results of HSC. The results will be released next Thursday (January 7) if Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gives the schedule.

Professor Nehal Ahmed, Member Secretary of HSC Grade Evaluation Committee and Chairman of Dhaka Education Board, said, “Results of HSC and equivalent examinations are ready. However, it was not possible to publish the results due to the ordinance complication. The results will be released once the ordinance is issued.”

He further said, “We hope the President will issue the ordinance next Wednesday (January 6). Then we will publish the result. After the issuance of the ordinance, there will be no obstacle in publishing the results. If the Prime Minister gives time on that day (Thursday), then the results may be released.”
