Directions issued to take preparation to reopen schools, colleges

The Ministry of Education has issued a notice for schools and colleges to be prepared for reopening on February 4.

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) released a guideline in this regard.

Following the issue, letters were sent to the district, upazila education office and office of local director on Thursday (January 28).

Field level education officials will monitor the guidelines in schools and colleges. Based on it, they will observe the preparation of educational institutions. Later, reports will be sent to Education Directorate.

The guidelines include preparing a budget for buying disinfectants, creating a routine for daily cleaning, orienting the cleaning crew for cleaning and disinfection, among other directives.

Earlier on January 22, DSHE published guidelines for maintaining health safety measures at educational institutions.
