JU students break lock to enter halls

Students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) again entered Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib hall after breaking the lock of it.
Female students broke the lock and entered the hall around 1:00 pm on Monday.
Earlier, agitated students were brought a procession from Transport premises area of the university which ended in front of Bangamata hall.
Philosophy Department sudent Riazul Islam said, “Around 40 students entered Bangamata hall and took the position. Later, we will march towards Fazilatunnesa Hall. Female students will stay in these two halls.”
He further said, “We will not leave halls as the university authorities failed to ensure security for us.
Mentionable, locals made an attack on JU students centering a cricket tournament on February 19 evening, leaving at least 40 students and 4 locals injured.
Meanwhile, at least 11 students have been undergoing at hospitals.
