Students block roads at Nilkhet

Students of seven Dhaka University-affiliated colleges have begun demonstration blocking the Nilkhet intersection and roads for realisation of their demands including withdrawal of stay order on onging exams and reopening of halls and campuses.

Students took to the streets around 9.00am, halting vehicular movement on the busy road, leading to huge gridlocks.AKM Abu Bakar, a leader of the agitating students and a student of Dhaka College, said, due to corona pandemic the examinations began for a long time and many students now in Dhaka. But the authorities stopped examinations at the middle, he alleged. 

Abu Bakar also said “We also protested yesterday for the route of ongoing examinations of seven colleges. We have continued demonstration for the second consecutive day today”.
