NCTB prepares short syllabus for primary schools

The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has prepared a short syllabus for the primary education sector.

Following the advice of National Academy for Primary Education (NAPE), the syllabus was prepared. The teaching plan for the rest of the months after opening schools has been fixed in the syllabus. Beginning on March 1, the short syllabus will continue till November 30.

Earlier, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education published the syllabus for primary level students on February 18. The lesson plan has been sent to the Department of Primary Education to begin classes from March 1.

Sources said, thinking about the possible teaching concept during the short time, the NCTB prepared the syllabus according to the direction of Primary and Mass Education Ministry.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain recently has said, the concerned are directed to make short syllabus for primary school level.

The short syllabus will be completed by maintaining some steps. The short syllabus will be taught when the school will open, he added.
