DU expels 163 students

The authorities of Dhaka University (DU) have permanently expelled 12 students as various allegations including digital fraud and admission through illegal ways were proved against them.
Besides, 151 students have been suspended for different terms for adopting unfair means in the exams.
This information was revealed in a press release issued by the public relations department of the university on Monday (March 01) noon.
The decision to expel the students was taken as per the recommendation of the disciplinary council at a syndicate meeting at Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhabon of the university on Sunday (February 28), the press release said.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman presided over the syndicate meeting.
