Health directorate seeks list of teachers, staff of kindergartens

Now the teachers, officials and employees of the country’s kindergartens are getting coronavirus vaccine.

A letter signed by Nazrul Islam, assistant director of the Directorate of Primary Education has been sent to all the departmental officials of the country.

Earlier, an initiative has been taken to vaccinate teachers, officials, employees and students of public and private universities and all primary and secondary level.

According to the letter, published on the directorate’s website on Tuesday (March 2), as per the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, steps have been taken to vaccinate teachers, officials and employees working in various educational institutions. In this regard, soft and hard copy of the information of kindergarten (Bangla and English medium), working teachers, officers and employees should be sent to the Director General of the Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS).

Welcoming the decision of the government, M Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury, Chairman of Bangladesh Kindergarten School and College Unity Council, said, “We were frustrated when teachers of all levels were being brought under vaccination. I thank Prime Minister for finally bringing us under the initiative.”
