Amendment to be made in pry teachers’ recruitment process

The authority is mulling to bring some changes in primary school teachers’ recruitment process due to the ongoing pandemic situation.

The recruitment tests would be taken in several phases. That’s why separate question-sets will be prepared.

Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) sources said on Thursday (June 10).

Sources said, although the application process of primary school teachers’ recruitment was completed six months ago but the recruitment test process remained incomplete due to the Coronavirus crisis. Now all kinds of preparations are ready to start the process.

Concerned officials said that software development work has already been completed to evaluate the answer sheets of the primary teacher recruitment examination. An agreement was signed with the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) regarding the recruitment test.

Following the issue, DPE DG Alamgir Muhammad Mansur Alam said, technical preparations have been completed for conducting the test. It was not possible to take the written test as the educational institution remained shut. The examinations will be done in several phases. Written tests will be taken maintaining health rules.
